"Media Anthropomorphism" and Explaining its Ethical Responsibilities Based on Islamic Thought System
Abdolali Aliaskari
Abstract:   (5305 Views)
Media is an intelligent cultural-social institution which, based on active and purposeful communication with the surrounding and self-monitoring of its processes, can be designated as a living organism with an anthropomorphic character. Thus, by understanding the ethical characteristics of a communicative human being and matching them with the media institution, one can analyze the engendering dimensions of media ethical responsibilities and explore the relationship between ethics and the media from an anthropological perspective. According to Islamic anthropology, the ethical responsibility of the "humanlike media" is defined in relation to God, oneself, other human beings, and creatures. By fulfilling its responsibilities, the media should prepare the necessary backgrounds for the realization of the pure life. In this research, using the library resources, the dimensions of human moral responsibility in Islam were studied, and these responsibilities were described and explained on the basis of the anthropomorphism of the media in the context of media activities.
Keywords: Humanlike media, ethical media, ethics and media.
