Although the existence of moral conscience appears self evident to all, ambiguity regarding its nature constitutes a major obstacle to utilizing this remarkable capacity for moral growth. Therefore, analyzing the views of influential thinkers such as Allameh Mesbah Yazdi is essential. Employing a descriptive–analytical method, this study examines his works and analyzes his perspective on the nature of moral conscience. The findings indicate that, according to Allameh Mesbah, moral conscience is not an independent faculty but rather a philosophical concept emerging from the interaction of rational and emotional systems in the absence of obstacles. Moral conscience is a guidable capacity that requires rational and revelatory cultivation. Based on this analysis, both the complete denial of moral conscience and its equation with pure reason are inconsistent with Allameh Mesbah’s view.
