The central problem of this research is that the recent emergence of views advocating for the “separation of morality from religion” in public discourse has highlighted the necessity of a fundamental investigation into this relationship. Aiming to critique the theoretical foundations of the separatist discourse and provide an alternative framework, this article addresses the issue using a descriptive-analytical method and an ontological approach. The findings show that the duality of religion and morality is a “pseudo-problem” rooted in conceptual error and negligence regarding their unity within the existential realm. In contrast to this view, the theory of the “Existential Unity of Religion and Morality” is explained as an alternative framework. According to this theory, religion is the conscious and directed form of the same existential morality (the human perfecting process). This unity makes the separation of the two impossible and their conflict meaningless, decreeing an intrinsic and synergistic link between them.
