One of the alleged distinctions between the two sciences of jurisprudence and Islamic ethics is the existence of legal rulings in jurisprudence and its absence in ethics.Checking the authenticity of this claim is the main issue of this article. Are there rules in ethics? If yes, what are these rules? In this article, it is tried to analyze the status rulings in jurisprudence and value rulings in ethics with analytical method. Some of the results of this article are as follows;Value judgments in ethics have the three characteristics of description, valuation and necessity of action, just like status rulings in jurisprudence, and in fact value judgments are a part of status rulings. As a result, ethics is not free from status rulings, but it has achievements in the field of explaining value rulings, which are also useful for explaining status rulings in jurisprudence. Also, in Islamic ethics, some rules of status have been neglected, which can be greatly contributed to the improvement of ethics topics by re-designing and expanding them.
