Binary education, as one of the contemporary educational approaches, insists on and believes in the non-separation of genders between men and women in education. Women and men should have characteristics of both sexes so that they can behave in appropriate feminine or masculine situations. One of the important principles of this approach is the principle of autonomy. According to this principle, women should have freedom in the three areas of education, employment and sexual relations and be able to make choices according to their wishes. In this article, we will use a descriptive-analytical method to explain and evaluate this principle based on ethical indicators - of course, with an emphasis on the teachings of Islamic ethics. The result is that, based on the standards of Islamic ethics, humans have freedom and choice within the framework of divine limits; which cannot be combined with unconditional freedom in the principle of autonomy. In practice, however, this principle poses fundamental challenges to the roles of motherhood and wifehood. In Islamic ethics, the roles of motherhood and wifehood are considered natural rights of women, and there is evidence of Western women's desire for these natural and innate rights. The principle of autonomy also requires ignoring the natural rights of the individual, which is immoral.
