Miscarriage may be counted as one important and considerably challengeable problems of medical moral, attracting mind of many scholars to argue for or against it. Moral philosophers have viewed it philosophically and agreed on the fact that killing an adult human is morally unacceptable, yet, their views on embryo`s humanness are not the same. Some view embryo as being human but some other disagree such a view. The former, therefore, knows miscarriage to be immoral and the latter to be moral. The problem may be viewed in another approach, that is, in a moral theological approach. Muslim thinkers have studied the problem in feqh but not in theology or moral philosophy. The paper, therefore, has sought to view the problem on the basis of moral theology and, considering embryo from the first step of appearance as a Divine gift, has viewed miscarriage to be unacceptable.
