Abortion is one of the important issues in medical ethics that many moral philosophers have argued to prove its correctness or incorrectness by adhering to several principles; One of these principles is the principle of doing no harm, which is one of the four principles of bioethics. Based on this principle, everyone has a duty to prevent harm to others, and the use of new biological technologies should not cause harm to any human being, the human race, or even nature and animals. Regarding the disabled fetus, some people insist on the principle of doing no harm and the fact that the birth of a disabled fetus causes harm to the disabled child and those around him, and they rule that the abortion of a disabled person is morally permissible. On the other hand, some people objected to this argument and believe that the main harm is where the act of aborting and destroying a living being is done. In this article, the mentioned argument will be criticized and the damages that may be caused to the disabled child, his family, society and those around him will be discussed.
